MIXED Direct Mount Rear Derailleur Hanger for Thru-axle Disc Brake Road Bike Bicycles

MIXED Direct-Mount Derailleur Hanger
The Revolution of Direct Mount
Why go Direct Mount
In 2012, Shadow MTB rear derailleurs were released by SHIMA*O which uses a direct mount system. In 2017, SHIMA*O started making road rear derailleurs with the direct mount system, and most likely will become the norm for all their rear derailleurs. In 2018, Campagn*lo also started making direct mount rear derailleurs, albeit with a more traditional b-knuckle upper pivot.
If you like to watch professional road bike competitions, you may find more and more cyclist changed their bike derailleurs hangers to direct-mount, but why? Why that they choose the direct mount style?
There are several obvious merits of the direct mount rear derailleurs.

At Least 10 Grams Lighter
The bike equipped with r7000 r8000 r9000 and later derailleurs are usually with traditional rear derailleur hangers, the B-link and traditional hanger combo are about 10 grams heavier than the direct mount version.

Stronger Structure
It also positions the body of the derailleur more underneath the cassette so that it is less exposed to potential impacts. Fewer connections also mean stronger structure and less wobbling.
Easy Wheelset Removal
These derailleurs moved the main pivot location further back and below the cassette compared to standard mount derailleurs. Relocating the upper pivot, allowed for easier wheel removal/installation
Improved Crispy Gear Shifting Experience
Fewer connections also mean less play on the rear derailleur part, especially giving spatial constraints that disc brake thru-axle needs. The absence of b-link also gives more space for the rear derailleurs to rotate. Everything leads to a far more improved crispy shifting experience.
Can I upgrade to direct mount?
1.Know your rear derailleur hanger
Here is the photo of a traditional rear derailleur hanger and direct mount rear derailleur, if you have a traditional hanger, it means you need to get a direct mount hanger to go direct mount.
2.Know your rear derailleur
For SR*M Brand derailleur, all of them are not compatible with Direct Mount Hanger.
For SHIMA*O and Campagn*lo rear derailleur, you need to determine the type of your rear derailleur. Usually, Shima*o RD that later than R7000 series such as R8000 and R9000 are direct-mount compatible.
3.Know your Brake Method
